How to Find Us  
Entrance to the Navy Days event is through         Point Victory Gate at the corner of Queen Street and The Hard (Historic Dockyard entrance).

By Road
From outside of Portsmouth: Join the M275 at Junction 12 of the M27 and follow the brown Historic Waterfront signs, once in Portsmouth follow the Historic Dockyard signs.

Park & Ride
The Park & Ride service -
will also be operating for all 3 days of Navy Days from the 30th July - 1st August 2010. The first bus will depart Lakeside North Harbour Point Map at 9am and the last bus will depart from The Hard at 7pm. The cost is £2.50 per car and up to 7 passengers.

By bus, coach, rail, ferry from Gosport or FastCat from the Isle of Wight
Portsmouth Harbour Station/The Hard Interchange is 200 meters from the main entrance at Victory Gate.

Accessibility Special Access to Attractions

Portsmouth Naval Base and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard welcomes all visitors. The site is, however, a working Naval Base and certain areas may present difficulties to visitors who use wheelchairs, with a restricted mobility or who are visually impaired. As a safety precaution, we ask that all these visitors are accompanied.

Facilities for disabled visitors
Wheelchairs are available free of charge from the Visitor Centre, Mary Rose, HMS Warrior 1860 and Royal Naval Museum.

Our special access route gives ramped access around the site. Please also consider the specific suitability of each attraction, details of which will be regularly updated as ships and activities are confirmed.

Wheelchair access will be available to HMS WESTMINSTER from 1000 – 1200 daily. Patrons are advised that access may be extended or restricted owing to tidal restrictions and Health & Safety requirements.  Exact timings will be displayed on a daily basis during the event.

Navy Days has teamed up with Wightlink Ferries to offer residents on the island a great joint ticket to one day of the Navy Days event and a day return ticket on one of Wightlink's state of the art catamarans!

Prices are: Adults, £21.50, Children/Seniors, £15.50

Tickets can be purchased in advance via the Wightlink call centre on 0871 376 1000 or in person at the Ryde ticket office on the day of travel.

Other Information

Dogs

Photography and Media Visitors can use flash cameras except in the Mary Rose Museum where light sensitive materials are on display.

No photography is allowed on board HMS Victory. At the Royal Naval Museum, no professional photography of any sort is allowed in the Museum galleries without the permission from the curatorial staff. Photography for personal reference is allowed but, to help preserve the collections on display, visitors are asked not to use flash photography. High quality reproductions of key items from the exhibitions are available as postcards and prints from the Museum's shops.

Dogs are not permitted into the Historic Dockyard, with the exception of guide and registered assistance dogs.
